Description
PENDING CONTRACT AWARD
SUMMARY:
Develop and maintain a quality system to assure that all products provided by suppliers meet AAR and end user specifications; and are suitable for their intended use. Develop and maintain Ground Operating Procedures, as well as an Aviation Safety SOP.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement and maintain quality systems in accordance with program and company requirements Implement and maintain safety /environmental programs in accordance with program and company requirements AAR APRISe business unit (Program) focal point Implement and ensure the conduct of internal audit and corrective action program Prepares for and acts as focal point for ISO, US Government and customer quality/safety audits Participate in all flight safety meetings External and Internal audit focal point Ensure that corrective and preventive actions follow effective root cause analysis processes Act as advocate for high quality/safe operations All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a secret clearance, qualified candidates must have US Citizenship. Ability to pass physical screening requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) from a four year college or university; or eight years related experience 15 years of experience working in aircraft organizational/intermediate maintenance environment FAA Mechanic w/ A&P preferred Quality Management/Audit credential preferred Safety credential preferred HAZMAT credential preferred
Work Conditions
Position is located OCONUS and in an austere environment; work is being performed on the flight line, limited hangar or aviation field environment.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift and parts, tooling and other awkward items sometimes weighing greater than 50 lbs, including up and down stairs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday. Must be able to see and hear, or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
