Job Description
We are looking for EIW Site Project Control Lead for one of our clients with the following details:
Location: Basra, Iraq
Start Date: May 2025
Contract Duration: 12 months, renewable
Work Scheme: Rotational 28 days ON / 28 days OFF
Qualification and Experience Required:
- Professional Experience: Minimum 10 years in project control roles in Oil and Gas projects.
- Experience in similar position: At least 5 years in a leadership role managing cost, schedule, and risk management activities.
- Level / Diploma: Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Languages: Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in project control tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and cost management software.
- Strong analytical skills for schedule and cost variance analysis.
- Knowledge of risk management practices and earned value management techniques.
Soft Skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Main Missions
- Lead all project control activities for Early Infrastructure Works (EIW), ensuring alignment with project objectives and execution plans.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reporting mechanisms to monitor progress effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration of cost, schedule, and risk management activities.
- Provide oversight and guidance on project control tools, techniques, and best practices.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and areas of concern.
Key Activities
- Promote a strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture by ensuring that all project control activities are performed safely and in compliance with the company’s HSE standards.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of project schedules and budgets to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain detailed project control plans, including schedules, cost estimates, and resource plans.
- Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to integrate their schedules and budgets into the overall project framework.
- Prepare regular project performance reports, including progress curves, earned value analysis, and variance reports.
- Facilitate risk management sessions and maintain the project risk register.
- Support the preparation of contractual claims and change management processes.
- Ensure compliance with corporate project control policies and procedures.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior project control staff.
