Job Description
We are looking for an EIW Quality Superintendent for one of our clients with the following details:
Location: Basrah, IRAQ
Start Date: Apr 2025
Contract Duration: 1 year, renewable
Work status: Rotation 28x28
Qualification and Experience Required:
- Professional Experience (years): 10 years in Oil and Gas projects.
- Experience in similar position (years):5
- Technical skills: Familiar with the ISO 10005 guidelines and the requirements of the ISO/TS 29001 and ISO 10006.
- Level / Diploma: Engineering degree or equivalent
- Languages: Fluency in English (speaking and writing); Arabic would be a plus.
- Soft skills: This role requires strong attention to details, excellent organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and quality standards as well as team spirit and communication skills.
Missions & Activities
The Job Holder Is Responsible To:
- Ensure that the contractors, subcontractors and vendors will prepare and maintain continuously the project quality dossier which will consist of a comprehensive compilation of all quality records documents of the work and activities performed and to ensure that all quality control documents is easily retrievable in order to provide evidence that equipment and materials used comply with the contract requirements at each step of the work.
- Ensure that the management process of contractor quality assurance (QA) is systematic planned and implemented to comply with contract requirement.
- Lead a standalone quality weekly meeting with the contractor throughout the project duration and follow up and validate with the contractor the submission of the quality management dashboard along with KPIs status in the weekly and monthly report.
- Ensure that the contractor quality management system that includes the project quality plan and quality control plan comply with project specifications and standards for all construction activities during the project life cycle.
- Responsible for the validation and implementation of the project inspection and test plan (ITP) that the contractor will develop to cover all project inspection activities.
- Validate the contractor Inspection procedures that provide control of work quality & associated risks in all areas of construction activity including material and equipment preservation, welding, civil work, structural steel work, handling and lifting, painting, insulation, buildings and infrastructure, etc. as applicable.
- Identifying and addressing any quality issues or defects promptly.
- Ensures that contractors and subcontractors comply with the company H3SE management system and the accurate implementation of the work permit system and ensures that all significant H3SE incidents are captured and reported into the incident reporting system.
Accountabilities
- Implementing and maintaining QA/QC system to ensure that construction activities comply with all specs and standards.
- Conducting regular inspections and tests to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
- Maintaining detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities.
- Coordinating with project construction team, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are met.
