Job Purpose
The Deputy Project Security Manager (DPSM) will work a rotation pattern of four weeks as the Project Security Manager (PSM) and four weeks as Operations Manager (OM) on project. The DPSM provides security consultancy, management, and quality assurance to all key stakeholders on this client contract in Baghdad. The DPSM is the primary interface between the client and the company. The DPSM will be responsible for the maintenance of a high level of standards and disciplines within the armed protection team and static security service, ensuring that all conduct is in line with Control Risks SOP’s.
Rotation: 8/4 weeks
Tasks and Responsibilities
Security Management
- Conduct full threat and vulnerability assessment of operations in close coordination with the client and Control Risks personnel.
- Drafting and updating of client security plans and documents, including individual sites that the client visit.
- Review and assess existing security arrangements, including physical security
- Precautions, building security, journey management, incident response, evacuation planning, business support/information and training.
- In conjunction with client security and HSE teams, maintain evacuation and medical plans.
- Maintaining responsibility of managing security within the client operations and identification of threats.
- Review existing contingency plans and, where appropriate, develop and exercise these under direction and guidance of the client.
- Monitors local security threat conditions and advises of issues likely to impact Embassy movements and operations.
- Oversees the armed protection teams, static guard force to ensure the effective provision of security to our client in line with our SOP’s.
- Maintain high standards of customer service.
Operations Management
- Participate in and coordinate the response to emergency security calls.
- Oversight and quality control of the guard-force, including reporting of contract manning levels to the client.
- Liaise and engage with all stakeholders within client operation to help ease relationships and understanding
- Assist and manage the security implications of upgrades to client facilities
- Develop and maintain contract Quality Assurance and Quality Capability on client operations.
- Comply with all client reporting requirements, which include induction briefs and others.
