Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) is a dynamic, international non-governmental organisation. We work with people affected by violent conflicts to enhance their security and dignity through Unarmed Civilian Protection (UCP). We work to reduce violence, protect civilians in countries affected by violent conflict and its aftermath, and help transform the world’s response to conflict situations. 


JOB SUMMARY


The main emphasis of this consultancy is roll out the Peace Impact Framework (PIF) into 2-4 country programmes including Iraq, DRC, Sudan and South Sudan (under the NEST project) and explore the application of Every Day Peace Indicators (EPI). The consultancy includes analysis of existing MEAL frameworks in the countries of focus, identifying strategies to align the PIF framework to these existing systems, develop tools and systems for data collection within the framework of PIF (including EPI and/or GAM), the training and coaching of NP teams on the integration and application of PIF, documentation and articulation of lessons learned, and the development of guideline for the integration of PIF in NP MEAL systems and NP`s global Strategic Framework. We are looking for consultants with a proven track record in implementing the PIF framework


TIMELINE


The consultancy is estimated for a period of 6 months and would be initiated as soon as possible. This is an indication and can be discussed as part of the job application.


DELIVERABLES


The deliverables are an estimation and can be modified on the basis of initial assessment and in communication between NP`s Global head of Programming and the PIF consultant


  • Analysis of existing MEAL frameworks in the countries of focus and the outline of an action plan or strategy for the roll out of PIF in 2-4 countries that aligns the PIF framework to existing MEAL systems, as it connects to the NEST project
  • Training and coaching of NP teams in understanding and implementation of PIF
  • Development of tools and systems for data collection within the framework of PIF (including EPI and/or GAM), that is aligned to the NEST project
  • Documentation and articulation of lessons learned from the alignment and application of PIF within NP country programmes
  • Development of guideline for the integration of PIF in NP MEAL systems that is aligned to NPs global Strategic Framework.

CONSULTANT PROFILE


  • Proven track record in the implementation and training of Peace Impact Framework
  • Preferably, experience with implementing MEAL within the context of Africa and Middle East (Iraq, DRC, South Sudan and Sudan in particularly)
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a small, flexible team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and institutions.
  • Passion for the mission and values of the organisation.
