Job Description
The Compliance Supervisor ensures the organization’s policies and procedures comply with regulatory and ethical standards. This role involves supervising the compliance team, assisting in developing compliance programs, monitoring operational practices, and recommending improvements to ensure full adherence to relevant laws and internal protocols. The supervisor also plays a key role in training employees on compliance-related matters and reporting on compliance risks and breaches
Roles:
Compliance Program Oversight:
- Oversee daily activities of the compliance team and ensure proper implementation of compliance programs.
- Monitor and evaluate compliance programs' effectiveness and suggest improvements.
Regulatory Adherence:
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, national, and international regulations.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of regulatory trends and changes and adjust internal policies accordingly.
Audits & Monitoring:
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Monitor internal systems to ensure they align with external regulations and internal policies.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present compliance reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Document all compliance-related activities and maintain records of compliance breaches, if any.
Communication:
- Provide guidance to employees on compliance issues and ensure proper communication of policies.
Collaboration with Legal & Regulatory Bodies:
- Work closely with legal and regulatory teams to ensure the organization's compliance stance is solid.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities during compliance inspections and reviews
