The Artist Manager is responsible for overseeing the professional career of an artist by
managing their business affairs, securing opportunities, and developing strategic plans to
enhance their brand and revenue. This role involves coordinating bookings, negotiating
contracts, managing public relations, and ensuring the artist’s long-term success. The Artist
Manager acts as the primary liaison between the artist and industry professionals, ensuring
that all business activities align with the artist’s vision and career goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Career Strategy & Development
• Develop and execute a long-term career plan tailored to the artist’s goals.
• Identify opportunities for growth, branding, sponsorships, and collaborations.
• Ensure the artist maintains a strong industry presence and reputation.
• Monitor trends in the entertainment industry to keep the artist relevant.
2. Business & Contract Negotiation
• Negotiate and review performance contracts, recording deals, and brand partnerships.
• Work with entertainment lawyers and financial advisors to ensure favorable agreements.
• Protect the artist’s intellectual property, image, and financial interests.
3. Booking & Scheduling Management
• Oversee the artist’s daily schedule, live performances, and media appearances.
• Coordinate with agents, event organizers, and promoters to secure bookings.
• Manage travel arrangements, logistics, and rehearsals.
4. Marketing & Branding Strategy
• Collaborate with social media teams, marketing experts, and PR specialists to promote the
artist.
• Oversee album releases, merchandise, digital campaigns, and promotional events.
• Enhance the artist’s brand presence across digital and traditional media.
5. Financial Planning & Revenue Growth
• Manage the artist’s income, royalties, and financial investments.
• Ensure timely payment collection from performances, endorsements, and contracts.
• Identify new revenue streams, including licensing, sponsorships, and product
endorsements.
6. Relationship Building & Industry Networking
• Maintain and expand connections with industry professionals, including producers, brands,
and media outlets.
• Represent the artist in business meetings, negotiations, and networking events.
• Explore collaborations with other artists, influencers, and entertainment platforms.
7. Team Coordination & Management
• Oversee the artist’s team, including agents, PR professionals, stylists, social media
managers, and content creators.
• Ensure all team members align with the artist’s creative and business vision.
• Handle crisis management and conflict resolution when necessary.
Work Environment & Schedule:
• Location: Hybrid/remote with frequent travel for events, meetings, and negotiations.
• Work Hours: Flexible, often requiring availability on evenings, weekends, and urgent
occasions.
• Compensation: Base salary + commission from artist revenue, sponsorships, and deals.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Entertainment Management, Marketing, or a related field
