Job Description

1. Financial Operations  - Manage bookkeeping, including recording revenue, costs, and expenses.    - Handle cash receipts and payments for showrooms and procurement service outlets**, ensure timely deposit of IQD cash into bank accounts, and reconcile transactions in the system.    - Use accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or local systems).  2. Tax Compliance    - File corporate income tax, VAT (5%), and local taxes in compliance with Iraqi laws.    - Handle regional tax submissions (e.g., property tax, social insurance).    - Support tax audits and regulatory compliance.  3. Banking Management  - Process daily bank transactions and foreign exchange (if applicable).    - Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.  4. Financial Reporting   - Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet) **and submit reports to the parent company.    - Provide summarized financial data and analysis to management and the parent company. 

Skills

1.Education & CertificationBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.CPA/ACCA certification or equivalent is preferred.2.Professional ExperienceMinimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in cross-border e-commerce, retail, or multinational enterprises.Proven experience in cash flow management (especially multi-currency operations) and familiarity with Iraqi dinar (IQD) banking procedures.3.Technical SkillsProficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software; experience with local Iraqi financial systems is a plus.Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) for financial analysis and reporting.Solid understanding of Iraqi tax regulations (VAT, corporate tax, property tax, social insurance) and compliance workflows.4.Key CompetenciesLocal Compliance Expertise: Ability to handle tax filings, audits, and liaise with Iraqi tax authorities.Multicurrency & Cross-Border Operations: Experience in foreign exchange transactions and cross-border fund management.Attention to Detail: Strong reconciliation skills for bank statements, cash logs, and intercompany accounts.Reporting & Communication: Ability to prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, balance sheets) and present insights to global HQ.5.Language & Soft SkillsFluent in Arabic (required for local compliance) and English (for reporting to HQ).Adaptability to fast-paced environments and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., logistics, local showrooms).6.Preferred QualificationsExperience in managing physical retail/showroom cash operations.Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) in a multinational context.Familiarity with Islamic financial practices (if applicable).
