S&P Global WSO is an industry leader in leveraged loan and high-yield solutions and provides comprehensive products and services for portfolio management, administration, reporting, and analysis.



Position Summary


S&P Global is seeking an experienced & motivated person to strategically manage both client relationships within the Portfolio Management Services group, as well as manage a team of Individual Contributors responsible for daily execution.  The individual will be responsible for managing client-driven strategy and client support throughout multiple aspects of the business.  Additional responsibilities include coordination of issue resolution, training, reporting, and keen understanding/presentation of the clients' business structure, pipeline, and market footprint. Finally, this individual will help set the vision of our team, as well as the daily tone of positive client experiences.



Duties & Accountabilities


  • Help source, recruit and retain top talent


  • Responsible for 1-3 clients who utilize the WSOWeb outsourcing solution.  Client types include Asset Managers, Banks, Hedge Funds, Mutual Funds, & Total Return Swap programs


  • Responsible for client task management as it relates to daily deliverables, product improvements, the strategic roadmap for your clients, and the prioritization of these expectations


  • Manage a team strategy around a set focus of clients who utilize the WSOWeb outsourcing solution


    • Team size: 8-10 Individual Contributors


      • Manage performance feedback of each team member through coaching/training by way of quarterly assessments, frequent one-on-one conversations and shared client interaction


  • Ensure the team meets and/or exceeds internal metrics


  • Find ways to enhance our service offering by creating hybrid roles, providing expanded client coverage and continuing to train/transfer daily BAU activities to India


  • Create the proper controls within the team to avoid any data breaches


  • Complete special projects as assigned



Business Competencies


Education and experience


  • BA or BS or equivalent experience


  • Accounting / Finance Major preferred


Commercial awareness


  • Banking or investment industry experience


  • Customer relations experience


Management requirements


  • 2-4 years of tangible experience managing a team of individual contributors in the financial services industry
