We believe that researchers are our number one priority, so we work hard to deliver value back to them with everything we do.Job DescriptionOver the last 3 years we have embarked on an ambitious programme to enhance our capabilities as a digital knowledge business by introducing Workflow Management Systems to provide end-to-end digital process orchestration and workflow automation. Having targeted implementation of automation capabilities across our content transformation processes and workflows to begin with, we are adding a WMS (Workflow Management System) Application Consultant to the team to support the future roadmap of work.It will be essential for you to demonstrate relevant experience of implementing workflow management system capabilities which help orchestrate end-to-end processes and achieve high levels of automation across business processes. Ideally you will have experience of delivering orchestration and automation solutions in either (or both) low/no-code platforms alongside Java development. Your process analyst and automation skills form part of a range of excellent analysis, design, communication, and collaboration skills. Importantly, you will be able to demonstrate resilience, agility, and innovation in your approach to your work.NOTE: This role is NOT focused on Warehouse Management SystemsYou will be a passionate and driven member of our Enabling Platforms team working with colleagues from across Researcher Services, Product, Architecture, Business Analysis and Engineering to help us execute our transformation towards high levels of automation across T&F processes and workflows. This is an ideal position for an ambitious and open-minded Consultant who would like to make a big impact on Taylor & Francis. You will be helping us to seed a new platform and have responsibility for maintaining our intelligent Business Automation Solution, combining the power of case and process management in a single low/no-code platform. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to be involved in the development of this role appropriate to the needs of the business and as we evolve the implementation of WMS capabilities.Key responsibilities:You will work with a team and stakeholders, studying business requirements, designing workflows and preparing POC’s.Accountable for providing a quality development service to customers and stakeholders, using skills and experience built through significant practical experience or training in process orchestration and workflow management.Translate business process models and documented business requirements, to enable the implementation of a workflow management capabilityProvide Workflow management Design, development, governance, and oversightDevelop new processes and workflows and support the integration of the WMS capability into our technology stack.Rapidly develop your understanding of Taylor & Francis’ Journals and Researcher Services domain and business processes and use this to inform and play an integral role in transforming the content transformation capabilities in Journals Production towards end-to-end process orchestration and workflow automation in innovative waysMake suggestions for improvements to the work of the team, based on previous experience and knowledge of similar situations and deliver designs that are clearly defined, using discretion over how to achieve themDevelop and own workflow design frameworks and procedures, with the freedom to interpret them across a range of use casesAct within the Centre of Enablement for design translation and development of workflow management capabilitiesQualificationsDemonstrate a strong understanding and affinity to software development, working knowledge and experience of developing in Java, JavaScript or any programming language.Exposure with BPMS, WMS & RPA tools would be idealModelling complex IT and operational processes.
