As a Wealth Management - IPB Tax - Team Leader within the IPB Tax operations team, you will be a strategic thinker passionate about promoting solutions in Tax operations. You will reconcile the banking system with the tax system for producing UK/Indonesia/France/German Tax Reporting and do US Tax With-holding for non-resident alien clients having US source income. You will ensure US reports 1042/1099 are issued timely and accurately. This role provides an opportunity to apply your knowledge of financial securities, corporate actions, and tax reporting, and to learn new types of tax laws.


Job Responsibilities


  • Perform reconciliation between the banking system and tax system for the preparation and review of tax reports/gain/loss statements with limited supervision.
  • Review transaction feeds across product/security types and conduct tax withholding review and remittance to tax authorities for various markets like the US, Germany, and Sweden.
  • Liaise with various upstream operations teams such as Asset Servicing, Middle Office Trade Support, and Derivatives, Securities Transfers, and Hedge Funds for transaction corrections. Interpret and apply corporate events and fund-related movements.
  • Ascertain tax codes for US securities by checking market sources. Meet service level standards for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Analyze transactional activity from a tax implication perspective.
  • Learn new types of tax laws and understand changes in tax laws and their implications for returns.
  • Communicate effectively; manage time efficiently; work under pressure; analyze and solve problems; and collaborate as a team player.
  • Maintain KPI, SOP, and other MIS.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Use MS Office products such as Excel, Word, and Access.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills


  • Demonstrate knowledge of financial securities.
  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills


  • Possess knowledge of corporate actions and security transfers (preferred).
  • Exhibit understanding of tax and gain/loss reporting (preferred).
