As a Product Manager within our ConnectWealth Product team, you will act on behalf of the business, operations, and our clients to design and delivery strategic solutions. You'll be at the forefront, collaborating with key stakeholders to develop and prioritize business/functional requirements ensuring the seamless delivery of innovative solutions. You will engage in user experience research and design processes, support testing, and lead implementation to guarantee code quality and timely delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
- Forge strong partnerships with stakeholders, including business management, design, operations, legal, compliance, and risk teams, to craft comprehensive business requirements
- Dive into UI and UX design processes to enhance user experiences
- Document business requirements in Epic/Story format using JIRA
- Prioritize requirements within an Agile framework, managing interdependencies across workstreams and systems
- Lead story refinement sessions with tech partners
- Collaborate with the UAT team to support test planning, acceptance criteria conditioning, and product support during testing
- Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends and enhance processes for customers and the business
- Drive operational readiness, lead system demonstrations, manage release planning, and ensure timely incident/issue resolution
- Navigate the regulatory/legal landscape related to investment products, ensuring compliance with established procedures and regulations
- Raise risks and issues to stakeholders or management; addressing control environment, program scope, and timeline impacts
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Masters or Post Graduate degree with 8+ years of experience in the financial services industry, in wealth management or investment organizations with at least 5 years leading a 5 to 10 member team
- Proven expertise in project and product management for large-scale business and technology initiatives
- Strong independent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall Methodologies, with adaptability to hybrid practices
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage tight deadlines and prioritize work effectively
- Experience in collaborating with diverse teams and coordinating across different cross-functional initiatives
- Ability to quickly build relationships and influence colleagues, technical and functional partners
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Confident communicator capable of delivering clear and succinct updates at all organizational levels
- Ability to synthesize information, draw logical conclusions, and present findings effectively
- Strong systems, operational, and control analysis skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience with scripting languages and/or data analysis tools like SAS and Python
- Experience with digital transformation and fintech integration in Asset and Wealth Management
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and methodologies
- Experience with emerging technologies in finance
- Experience with and/or prior collaboration with Sales, Legal and Compliance, Operations and Technology
