E-Learning Specialist


Weir – WBS


Hybrid/Remote


Location: Bangalore, India


Purpose of Role: This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing digital learning experiences. The WBS E-learning Specialist plays a key role in creating engaging and effective online learning products and solutions. The role holder collaborates with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and multimedia specialists to design and develop interactive e-learning courses that meet the learning objectives of the target audience.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Course Design: Collaborate with Learning & Development Consultants and subject matter experts to analyse learning needs and develop learning objectives. Design instructional strategies and content outlines for e-learning courses.​ 


  • Content Development: Develop engaging and interactive e-learning content using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software. Create multimedia elements including graphics, animations, videos, and simulations.​ 


  • Scripting and Storyboarding: Write scripts and create storyboards to outline the flow of e-learning modules. Ensure that content is logically structured and aligned with learning objectives.​ 


  • Multimedia Integration: Integrate multimedia elements into e-learning courses, including audio narration, video clips, interactive scenarios, and assessments. Optimize multimedia assets for online delivery.​ 


  • LMS Integration: Work with WBS to upload and deploy e-learning courses to Workday. Ensure compatibility and functionality across different platforms and devices.​ 


  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks to ensure that e-learning courses function properly and meet design specifications. Address any technical issues or bugs as needed.​ 


  • Evaluation and Feedback: Collect feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously improve e-learning materials. Analyze learning analytics and assessment results to measure the effectiveness of courses.​ 


  • Continuous Improvement: Stay aligned to trends & technologies in e-learning to ensure that the solutions and products are best-in-class.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in e-learning development, including course design and multimedia content creation.​ 


  • Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar software.​ 


  • Proficient understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.​ 


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.​ 


  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.​ 


  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and SCORM standards.​ 


  • Graphic design and multimedia editing skills are a plus.​ 


  • Portfolio showcasing previous e-learning projects is highly desirable.
