Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:


  1. To work in close coordination with the Promoters and provide guidance and leadership to procurement departments i.e. Steel products and Consumables.
  2. Create and execute tactical Execution plan and bringing robust Systems, implement new processes and approaches to achieve competitive pricing on various inputs services and steel procurement.
  3. Enable the company management to setup long term strategic plan and approach.
  4. Vendor development & management across all verticals and business groups to ensure input costs are minimum enabling marketing department to be competitive in the market.
  5. Evaluate bids and award of jobs/annual contracts for materials and services.
  6. To ensure all purchase orders should have comments from Finance department on financial matters particularly Taxation issues, LC conditions, Payments Terms etc.
  7. Responsible for creating check and balances for steel purchases by plant purchase dept. and Head office and ensure compliance and random audit.
  8. Coordination with Logistics department for Licenses status / FPS / DGFT, Export-Import documentation & certification through inspecting agencies and all related matters.
  9. Visit plant/(s), vendors and other Internal and external stake holder on matters of importance either individually or jointly with HOD or Director Operations as may be required.
  10. Review of the Audit observation with respect to the procurement and transportation contracts and taking corrective actions.
  11. Ensure utilization of ERP System and provide inputs for improvement, if necessary.
  12. To ensure seamless information flow inter and intra departments. Ensure submission of various MIS reports to your up line on regular basis for review.
  13. Reporting to Up line on daily alerts, and plan of action for the day and other important/critical matters that needs attention.
