About the Role:

We are looking for a seasoned professional with 15+ years of experience in banking or fintech, specializing in online merchant acquisition. The ideal candidate will drive strategic partnerships, enhance digital onboarding processes, and scale merchant acquisition efforts to maximize revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop & Execute Merchant Acquisition Strategies – Lead initiatives to onboard high-value merchants and expand the online merchant network.
  • Partnership & Relationship Management – Build and maintain relationships with key merchants, payment aggregators, and digital commerce platforms.
  • Revenue Growth & Optimization – Drive transaction volumes, enhance conversion rates, and optimize monetization strategies.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration – Work closely with product, compliance, risk, and marketing teams to ensure seamless merchant onboarding and retention.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Oversight – Ensure adherence to industry regulations, AML/KYC norms, and risk management frameworks.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis – Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging payment technologies.
Key Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience in banking, fintech, or payments with a strong focus on online merchant acquisition.
  • Proven track record in driving merchant onboarding, partnerships, and revenue growth in digital payments or acquiring business.
  • Strong understanding of payment gateways, digital wallets, UPI, BNPL, and card payment ecosystems.
  • Experience in managing large-scale online merchants and executing growth strategies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate degree in Business, Finance, or related fields.
  • Experience in working with leading banks, fintech startups, payment aggregators, or e-commerce platforms.
