 We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of VP - Data Modeler.

Principal responsibilities

• Acts as a subject matter expert, contributes to the development of group standards and identifies and implements new practices, processes and technologies where required.
• Instrumental in the design and delivery of data architectures for business solutions through the solutions design process, focusing mainly on medium or multiple architecture activities.
• Influence the continued development of data architecture/modeling standards.
• Stay abreast of legal, regulatory and compliance areas that are critical for data.
• Provide a consultancy role to IT and business teams where appropriate.
• Support Mandatory Data Controls by ensuring that mapping between HBSC Information Model and the Core Banking Logical Data Model is maintained accurately in the Core Banking Data Dictionary and Mapping Documents
• Ensuring that the Physical Core Banking fields are mapped to HSBC Information Model to support the compliance of data controls.
• Liaising with the Data Governance teams to review data usage standards and identify Gaps in and facilitate in addressing the Gaps and governance approvals.
• Define the Logical and physical data model for various stages of data acquiring processing and aggregation.
• Working with Data Analysis team(s) and business users to help define the data needs.
• Define the suitable Data Architecture to fulfil the business goals.
• Support delivery teams in making the most of data technologies and helping them transition to strategic systems to optimize data related outcomes and roadmaps.
• Identifying and managing data risk within the data architecture domain
