We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of VMWare Virtualization – Delivery Head
Key Responsibilities:
- Define Product Vision and Strategy: Develop the vision, strategy, and roadmap for VMware product offerings in alignment with customer needs and overall IT strategy.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Identify and engage key stakeholders to ensure product success and value. Work closely with senior stakeholders to communicate issues, progress, and resolutions for business critical incidents. Liaison between operations and engineering development teams, aligning on priorities and drive automation deliveries.
- Compliance Monitoring and Risk Mitigation: Continuously monitor compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies using tools like VMware vRealize Operation. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure VMware products compliance. Ensure that all systems and processes comply with the latest key controls, reducing the risk of non-compliance.
- Product Management: Manage and improve existing product offerings throughout their lifecycle, adopting Agile methodologies. Assessing current and future resource needs to ensure that your infrastructure can handle the workload critical banking services.
- Product Communication: Share regular product updates with all stakeholders in both major and smaller countries. Ensure that all products are updated to supported versions and avoid any product reaching end-of-life. Maintain timely communication regarding CVEs to meet compliance/controls.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and leadership to the team, ensuring best practices in VMWare vSphere and vCenter Products, distributed systems, servers and storage. Build strong technical understanding of VMware products and solutions to drive transformation deliverables.
- Crisis Management: Handle crises situations efficiently, implementing immediate solutions to minimize impact. Represent the team in major incident calls, providing technical expertise and leadership.
- Process and Automation: Identify opportunities to enhance operational workflows and eliminate inefficiencies. Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual tasks and improve platform scalability.
- Monitoring and Observability: Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively monitor platform health and prevent potential issues.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update processes, systems, and documentation to adapt to changing regulations and standards.
- System Availability and Performance: Ensure systems are available and performant, adhering to defined SLAs and SLOs.
- Capacity Planning and Performance Tunning: Plan for future capacity needs based on usage patterns and growth projections. Optimize system performance through tuning and scaling strategies.
