Job Description

This role will Report to the MD - India, VP & Commercial Lead, India, SASSA. Person will oversee legal, procedural and functional operations of the India region for Taylor & Francis. This is a meaningful role that will be responsible for planning, assessing, coordinating, managing, and reporting on key processes to support business operations.


What you’ll be doing:


In line with the overall plans and vision, you’ll be


  • Ensuring departmental decisions and project plans in various business operations, are in line with the plans and vision
  • Supporting the MD in obtaining information and identifying key issues for laying down the annual operating plan for the region
  • Collaborating with the MD and SLT to coordinate, facilitate, and execute the strategic direction of the organization’s operations, other than revenue generation
  • Identifying, recommending, and building efficient new business processes, technologies, and systems and ensure continuous improvement in existing ones
  • Working closely with the relevant regional SLT to review/assess strategy, supervise progress, recommend adaptations or modifications in line with changes in external environment or internal requirements.
  • Leading and overseeing the day-to-day, non-revenue operations to keep the business performing at its peak
  • Driving business continuity function by developing and enforcing policies, processes, controls, and best practices to achieve maximum potential
  • Providing expertise and mentorship on operational projects and systems
  • Building and maintaining business relationships with key decision-makers within the organization and across the industry

Qualifications
  • Extensive experience of working in the Indian publishing industry, within a global organization
  • Rich experience in the field of Operations Management, Business Process Excellence, and Project Management
  • Commercial instincts that use operational excellence to support the business
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • A continuous improvement approach; someone who never accepts the status quo and challenges themselves and their team to look for the best solutions in everything they do
  • A leader who inspires and motivates and will build influence with global matrix teams along with local
  • Able to manage complexity, ambiguity and change
  • A proactive demeanour, with excellent judgment and problem-solving skills

Additional Information

Location:  This role is based at our India - New Delhi office. You must have the right to work and live in India. 


The successful candidate will be able to utilise our balanced working model. We ask that candidates live within a commutable distance of our office in Delhi, to ensure that as a balanced worker they can make it to our office locations to collaborate as required. Time spent in the office is likely to range from 10%-80% of working hours with an expectation for a minimum of 2 days per week spent working from an office.


Internal candidates will be eligible to continue their current working arrangements.
