As a Vice President - Area Product Owner - Outsourced Chief Investment Office (OCIO), you will be an integral part of the Multi-Asset Portfolio Solutions team, supporting OCIO through shaping the future of product innovation as a core leader, driving value for customers, guiding successful launches, and enabling the business strategy. The team is uniquely positioned working directly with the business and in many cases as an extension of the business. As Product Owners, you are responsible for driving the direction of the platform and prioritizing the decisions made for the platform. The Product work has substantial impact across the business/firm and is geared towards revenue enhancement, cost reduction, risk mitigation, process improvement, increasing reach for insights or other priorities as defined by management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own the product’s vision and execute your strategy to realize it, while rigorously applying product best practices to stay abreast of the latest market and technology opportunities.
- Complement a strong product intuition with data-informed evidence to actively manage the product backlog in an agile development environment. Critically evaluate data, information, ideas, and arguments when determining what should be built, and describe what is needed with well-written stories.
- Drive data quality testing and improvement efforts across the OCIO platform. Distill insights from data across diverse users, business, and industry sources.
- Set motivating objectives for the business and your team with well-designed OKRs that measure success by the business outcomes your product achieves.
- Drive committed partnerships amongst your business stakeholders, Engineering, Design, and Product peers.
- Communicate effectively to all stakeholders, adapting for varying degrees of seniority and technical proficiency.
- Take a leading role to enhance the investment toolkit for sophisticated and institutional advisors and their clients.
- Drive UI development and UAT testing.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 10+ years of work experience in finance, in asset and wealth management industry
- Strong background in portfolio construction, management, analytics, research, with analytical and delivering value mindset. Experience in statistical analysis and testing toolsets.
- Fluent programming skills in Python.
- Hands on UI development and integration experience
- Experience executing process automation or user tool automation projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to audiences across different seniority levels, covering both technical and strategic content.
- Ability to parse complex tasks and juggle priorities in a highly dynamic professional environment.
- Strong initiative, interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to think creatively, while also being able to collaborate with others.
- Master's level in finance / Financial Engineering / Comp Sci/ Econometrics / Quantitative Finance / MBA
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Strong communication and effective management skills, harnessing cross functional teams to deliver on roadmaps [technology, quant, distribution, product, operations]
- Experience with multi-asset Portfolio construction, portfolio analytics.
- Experience with analytics production process improvement, including UI development and backend integration.
- CFA/ FRM and/or Masters Finance preferred.
