Position Overview
The Operations Vendor Lead plays a crucial role in managing vendor relationships and ensuring that day-to-day operational processes run smoothly. This position involves monitoring vendor performance, fostering effective communication, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors
Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements
Motivate and inspire team members and vendors
Make informed decisions quickly, especially in high-pressure situations
Convey expectations, feedback, and instructions clearly to vendors and internal teams
Understand vendor concerns and feedback, fostering open dialogue
Use data analysis to inform decisions, track performance, and identify areas for improvement
Approach challenges with a systematic and logical mindset
Negotiate favourable terms and conditions while maintaining positive relationships
Address customer-related vendor issues promptly and efficiently
Recognize potential risks in vendor operations and develop mitigation plans
Ensure vendors comply with legal and regulatory requirements
Work effectively with various departments, such as finance, procurement, and quality assurance
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field
Experience: Minimum five years of experience in vendor management or operations
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific industry is advantageous, as it helps in understanding vendor dynamics and market trends
