Position Overview


The Operations Vendor Lead plays a crucial role in managing vendor relationships and ensuring that day-to-day operational processes run smoothly. This position involves monitoring vendor performance, fostering effective communication, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.


Responsibilities


  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors


  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements


  • Motivate and inspire team members and vendors


  • Make informed decisions quickly, especially in high-pressure situations


  • Convey expectations, feedback, and instructions clearly to vendors and internal teams


  • Understand vendor concerns and feedback, fostering open dialogue


  • Use data analysis to inform decisions, track performance, and identify areas for improvement


  • Approach challenges with a systematic and logical mindset


  • Negotiate favourable terms and conditions while maintaining positive relationships


  • Address customer-related vendor issues promptly and efficiently


  • Recognize potential risks in vendor operations and develop mitigation plans


  • Ensure vendors comply with legal and regulatory requirements


  • Work effectively with various departments, such as finance, procurement, and quality assurance


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field


  • Experience: Minimum five years of experience in vendor management or operations


  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific industry is advantageous, as it helps in understanding vendor dynamics and market trends
