UX Research Engineer 4

Summary of the role


As a Senior UX/UI Designer at the heart of our engineering team, you will enhance the development and execution of a comprehensive UX/UI strategy, guiding the transformation of innovative concepts into tangible user experiences. You will work with the international engineering experience teams on consistency standards. You must have experience in user research and to be able to conduct different types of testing activities. You must be a hands-on designer, with capability to deliver visuals and layouts for a website, and a taste for customer-centric, innovative and functional design. You will play a key role by supporting the different projects in their entire design process.


Main responsibilities


  • Advocate for user-oriented methodologies to non-experts and provide support to ensure their successful adoption.
  • Perform user research and testing activities, including interviews, surveys, focus groups, and web data analysis, to understand customer needs and improve user experience. Develop user personas, customer journeys, and interaction flows.
  • Create solutions that address business growth and user needs, such as responsive mockups, interactive prototypes, recommendations, and user flows.
  • Support a wide range of projects through their entire design lifecycle, from conceptualization to implementation, playing a crucial role in their success
  • Work with product managers, engineers, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to conduct various testing activities, ensuring our designs meet the highest usability standards.
  • Ensure a consistent look and feel across all materials online and offline and following Amadeus brand guidelines
  • Perform benchmark analysis and research on developer websites to identify trends and best practices, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Deliver graphic solutions, such as illustrations or treated images, to support digital marketing and communication activities.
  • Stay up to date on the latest UX/UI design trends and best practices. 
  • Demonstrate native or advanced professional-level English proficiency, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to cross-functional teams.
  • Be comfortable with change and adaptable in a dynamic environment, working with a mix of in-person and fully remote partners.                                               

The ideal candidate


  • Degree in design, human-computer interaction, cognitive science, Graphic Design, Arts, User Experience, or other similar fields and a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience. 
  • Proven track record of UX design experience, with practical examples of how to solve business problems by applying user research methodologies
  • Ideally experience with Agile methodologies and design thinking
  • Experience with Design Systems and UX Patterns
  • Highly creative, passionate about great user experience and clean design, with a great eye for detail
  • Knowledge about web analytics, personalization, A/B testing, heuristic analytics, and usability and accessibility concerns
  • Up to date with latest technologies, innovation, design systems and design trends
  • Experience creating designs for interfaces on multiple platforms, and a strong domain of prototyping and graphic design tools (Adobe Suite and Figma)
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word; a good understanding of HTML and CSS to work closely with frontend teams
  • Ability to adapt to fast changing requirements/goals and learn quickly
  • English speaker (native or advanced proven professional level)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to cross-functional teams
  • Comfortable with change and can adapt in a dynamic environment, working with a mix of in-person and fully-remote partners
