Description and Requirements

User experience is at the core of everything we do. In this role, you will apply User Centered Design principles to take on complex tasks to assess, form requirements, and develop product experiences that promote good, inclusive design and an industry-leading user experience for Lenovo products and solutions.
To achieve these goals, you will collaborate closely with User Experience Designers, User Researchers, Product Developers, Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Executives throughout the design process. You’ll be an advocate for your users and ensure our products surpass their expectations.
Lenovo is at the forefront of XR innovation, creating immersive experiences that redefine user engagement. We are looking for an experienced UX Interaction Designer to join our dynamic User Experience Design team.
As an interaction designer at Lenovo, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of XR experiences. Applying User-Centered Design principles, you will create 2D and 3D environments, user interfaces, and interactions that set new standards in the industry. Your expertise in interaction content creation will be instrumental in bringing our vi-sions to life for our users.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop compelling interactions patterns, environments, and UI elements for spatial XR (e.g., AR/MR/VR) applications.
• Collaborate with Researchers, Developers, Engineers, and Product Managers throughout the design pro-cess.
• Utilize ideation and storytelling to effectively communicate design insights and ideas.
• Advocate for immersive user experience and ensure our products exceed user expectations.
• Create wireframes, user flows, functional prototypes, and maintain design specifications.
• Help to design usability studies in XR.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Visual Design, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in technical modeling, interaction design, or a similar role in the VR/AR industry.
• Strong portfolio displaying expertise in UI interaction design.
• Proficiency in UX interaction design principles and techniques.
• Expertise in design tools like FIGMA, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with fluency in English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and global team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in interaction design, scene design, storyboarding, or 3D storytelling.
• Experience creating assets for UI experiences.
• Familiarity with Agile development environments.
• Experience with animation design and tools.
• UX design experience in non-US markets.
