We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Delivery Head
- Provide overall leadership, oversight etc to build and run the UNIX practice capability within WPB IT; across all dimensions, including people, process and tools. Proactive in identifying and clearing roadblocks for the virtual team
- Develop talent in the virtual team and create opportunities
- Manage a global virtual team of circa 15 – 30 infra UNIX FTE. Accountable to ensure best practice, standards, recommended tools and technologies are used within WPB IT.
- Drive the evolution and adoption of Hashicorp Vault across WPB and HSBC
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the virtual team by automating manual task. Devolve responsibility where automation is not possible to the POD teams. Champion the use of Agile and DevOps principles/methodologies.Identify key blockers and play a lead role in the removal of blockers and hence facilitate the implemenation of tactical and strategic solutions accordingly
- Accountable for CTO UNIX relationship within WPB. Collaborate with peers in IT and HTS Partners, to ensure the delivery of goals for WPB with respect to the infrastructure aspects. Communicate and implement the WPB & CTO strategy to explain the benefits accordingly.
- Act as escalation proint for all UNIX issues teams are unable to resolve themselves.
- Face off/Influence CTO/Cyber teams to adapt/evolve to meet WPB requirements and vice versa
- Governance over compliance to Security Standards; Approval of membership to privileged access groups (GSDE, Build, HPSA and PAR).
- Governance of OAT and quality controls against standard baselines before go-live.
- Governance over critical patching and production of MI.
- Be able to solution design and make judgement calls about adoption of tech debt
- Apply experience to identify most important parts of a problem
- Governance over technical interviews, assessments and certification for cross-training into Practice functional roles.
- Leverages past experience and uses strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with all stakeholders including customers, senior management and other business leaders
