Job Description

As a Unit Manager, you are responsible for overseeing standard unit order processing within the Industry Order Desk (IOD) Department. This position requires close collaboration with Sales, Customer Service, Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Manufacturing teams to ensure timely processing of deliverables. The role emphasizes accuracy and quality, while managing urgent processing needs for both domestic and international orders.


Your responsibilities


  • Review all order documentation for each order, including purchase orders, sales orders, product order forms, and other communications to guarantee all deliverables expected are provided.
  • Direct any unit requests that require ITP or special requirements to Project Management team for Project Manager assignment.
     
  • Create and maintain a structured project folder for each project/unit and ensure all documentation is current and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
     
  • Facilitate meetings as needed to provide or receive clear direction on requirements.
     
  • Collect and organize engineering deliverables, specifications, and other necessary documentation for product execution, including but not limited to, general arrangement drawings, parts lists, bills of materials, and installation operation maintenance manual packages.
     
  • Create general arrangements using CAD software when engineering assistance is not required.
     
  • Create part numbers and build Engineering bills of materials when required. Includes Engineering and Manufacturing ERP environments.
     
  • Create and update manufacturing routes as needed for Tucson orders and ensure all components required are driving demand in manufacturing and production facility systems.
     
  • Collaborate with product development and engineering to collect required deliverables and push to expedite completion based on expected delivery date.
     
  • Ensure all updates, communications, and progress are recorded in the tracking system for transparent visibility.
     
  • Assist with overflow assignments from Tucson Unit Management group, which includes but is not limited to, creating IOM manuals, and part numbers.
     
  • Act as a point of contact for product inquiries from various departments, domestic and global.
     
  • Possess a strong determination to obtain the necessary information and take all required actions to acquire it.
     
  • Perform special assignments and additional tasks as assigned
  • Promote a "safety first" culture by continuous evaluation of work site for potential hazards or unsafe actions, use Personal Protective Equipment "PPE" appropriate to the site or work to be performed

What you bring


  • Strong organizational skills with ability to maintain high volume of orders and coordinate the deliverables timely and accurately.
  • Understanding of how to use project management software, time-tracking tools, and document
    Management systems are a plus.
     
  • MS office (Outlook 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat), SharePoint, Smarteam, ERP systems (Aurora/Enovia/MS D365). Basic work in CAD (AutoCAD / Catia)
     
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
     
  • Alternatively, Associate’s degree with relevant experience in project coordination or administration may be considered.
     
  • Certifications in project management (e.g., Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)) or proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello) are a plus but not required.
