1About the position:
The Turnaround Digital SME leads Surface Digital Team Turnaround Agile Release Train (ART) team. This role is responsible for prioritizing resources and develop and maintain work across apps that improve Chevron’s Turnaround planning and execution performance. Improvement areas include efficiencies in workflows, tactical completions, timely decisions, data quality and integrity. Collaborate with global peers.
This position reports to the Maintenance & Turnaround Planning Manager at the Chevron ENGINE Center.
Key responsibilities:
As Surface Digital Team Turnaround ART Lead:
- Prioritize resources for development work across apps for 4 Program Increments (PI's)
- Weekly Sync with Reliability and Integrity team
- Bi-Weekly Sync meetings with Maintenance and Inspection Team and Turnaround Project Controls Product Owner
- Complete value calculation for each app and digital roadmap and canvas for development work
- Conduct quarterly reviews with the development team and lookbacks
- Showcases per PI and Team Retrospectives
As the Product Owner (PO):
- Prioritize and respond to digital issues and assign resources for other IMPACT digital opportunities
- Create digital video guides and continue to update training materials for rollout by IMPACT Web power users and for BIN meetings
- Work with Enterprise Turnaround organization to understand new application/feature opportunities and prioritize future PI planning work scope
- Review changes requested by users to ensure it aligns with long term product goals
- Write up features, progress features each PI, compete User Acceptance Testing of features, daily Sync meetings
- Oversee upkeep of Norms data based on roadblock studies
Support IMPACT digital users through community of practice meetings and resources:
- Meet with power users and key staff at each site monthly to provide input on proposed changes, get feedback on areas for improvement and provide support for efficiency gains across Chevron
- Communicate changes to users of IMPACT digital tools as the Turnaround ART completes development work (workplace posts, BIN meetings, ART demo days)
- Train power users during roll-out with new BUs and sites; conduct training as requested
- Sets clear expectations and aligns teams on shared goals and outcomes. Communicates transparently. Demonstrated ability to convey messages via oral and written communications. Ability to develop training materials and documentation that can be used by all facilities. Promotes and demonstrates healthy debate with a continuous improvement mindset
- Provide data and data analysis to various Chevron functions on IMPACT/Salesforce data by requesting Business Units, review and provide guidance and quality control on use of various Turnaround data streams
- Investigate Artificial Intelligence capabilities application to turnarounds; create business case; work with business units on application
- Lead/support strategic initiatives related to digital tools on turnarounds
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or computer science from a deemed/recognized (AICTE) university
- 5 years’ proven experience in Oil and Gas industry
- 5 years’ proven technical skills/competencies and proficiency with AGILE, azure devops (ADO), PI planning
- 10 years’ proven experience in Oil and Gas industry is preferred
- Knowledge of or experience with Salesforce and Power BI is preferred
- Knowledge of refinery and LNG process technologies will be highly regarded
Chevron ENGINE supports global operations, supporting business requirements across the world. Accordingly, the work hours for employees will be aligned to support business requirements. The standard work week will be Monday to Friday. Working hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm or 1.30pm to 10.30pm.
