QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 years university degree, preferably in finance. Professional certification /courses such as CTP, CFA Level 1 are a plus
  • 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in treasury or finance; banking experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and MS Office skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of PowerBI and Treasury Management Systems is preferred
  • Knowledge of treasury functions in a global set-up is preferred


WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You’ll work in our McKinsey Gurugram office as part of the Finance Treasury Team within our Global Treasury Function. This is an internal, non-client-facing role within the Global Treasury Compliance function, which comprises 2-3 team members and is part of the larger Global Treasury Team.
You will support treasury operations and provide analytical assistance to the Treasury team. As the treasury point of contact for banks, you will support treasury compliance and bank account management processes. Additionally, you will collaborate with colleagues from local offices and internal teams across the globe to ensure compliance with Firm Treasury standards and external regulations. You will also work closely with various teams, including but not limited to Legal, Finance Technology, Risk and Global Operations Team. This collaboration will often help you identify opportunities for alignment, making you a driver of change on a global scale.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will be responsible for handling bank account documentation, such as account opening/closing forms, signatory change requests, KYC, and maintaining treasury databases of bank accounts, signatories, and other core data to ensure integrity and quality of repository. You will manage internal bank account audits, support offices with external signatory and banking audit requests, and fulfill compliance requests from banks and financial institutions, including Know Your Customer (KYC), FATCA, CRS, GDPR data consent, and FBAR.  
You will be responsible to ensure adherence to banking and treasury related regulatory compliances and Firm Treasury Standards, maintain and prepare documentation for audit purposes, and ensure compliance with both internal policies and external regulations.
You will support various treasury verticals, including loans, treasury payments, and cash management. Responsibilities include managing the end-to-end life cycle of loans and specific treasury payments, handling direct reimbursement requests under different loan offerings and wire inputs for fund transfers. Additionally, you will categorize specific treasury receipts based on agreed parameters and support the foreign exchange settlement process. 
You will be involved in treasury reporting and analysis, preparing treasury reports, and assisting in the development of treasury strategies. Strategic thinking is required to simplify and automate current processes while delivering best-in-class results. You will also provide support on the technological front by performing testing of systems and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Furthermore, you will support ad hoc treasury projects as needed.
