About the Department


The Global Legal, Intellectual Property, and Security (GLIPS) department at Global Business Services (GBS) in Bangalore plays a pivotal role in supporting the global legal and intellectual property functions of the organization. With a focus on efficiency and high-quality delivery, GLIPS GBS operates across three key sub-teams, each contributing to the broader goal of providing comprehensive legal and intellectual property support to the organization.


GLIPS GBS stands as a cornerstone of support for the organization’s legal and intellectual property and product security functions, ensuring operational excellence, risk mitigation, and compliance across global operations. Through its dedicated sub-teams and their diverse expertise, GLIPS GBS continues to be instrumental in driving the organization’s success in the legal and intellectual property domains.



The position
As a Trademark Analyst at Novo Nordisk, you will:


  • Conduct comprehensive trademark clearance searches and assessments independently.Handle prosecution for Novo Nordisk’s trademark applications in India and Rest of the World (RoW) countries.


  • Provide IP support for the maintenance of Novo Nordisk’s trademarks, including database management.


  • Monitor third-party trademark publications and support IT trademark management systems.


  • Manage domain name filings and maintenance.


Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and knowledge:


  • Experience in conducting trademark searches using tools like Corsearch and Serion.


  • Proficiency in trademark databases such as TMview and WIPO Global Brand Database.


  • Knowledge of IP evaluations related to trademarks, including registrability and infringement analysis.


  • Experience in managing trademark prosecution, including drafting office action responses and notices of opposition.


  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any field; LLB/LLM (Diploma/Specialisation in Trademarks) is an advantage.


  • Certification as a Trademark Agent in India is an added advantage.


  • Understanding of trademark law and practice in relevant jurisdictions, including India and major international markets.


  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and in a team, and attention to detail.


  • Willingness to support local or global in-house projects as needed.


  • Knowledge of international trademark law and registration systems.
