This is a key leadership position within the Trade and Working Capital Solutions (TWCS) technology team.  Join an industry leader in the Trade Finance space, supporting global commerce for our customers as we invest aggressively to modernize our technology and innovate aggressively to ensure continued leadership as the global trade ecosystem rapidly evolves toward digitization.


This is a new position that is focused on exploring the potential to offer existing TWCS capabilities to key partners and other banks in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model.


The role is 2-fold:


Act as relationship managers for existing white label client as they expand and evolve their relationship with Citi. This includes managing key client technology stakeholders, providing end-to-end program management, and solutioning client needs across the Citi technology stack. Explore feasibility and business case for further monetizing TWCS IP through a more holistic SaaS model.

Key Responsibilities:


The role will include, but not limited to the following:


  • Provide technology relationship management to existing client(s). Face-off to senior technology counterparts, develop and manage SLA’s and other service quality metrics, and negotiate and manage scope for any required changes.
  • Manage the end-to-end program for solution delivery. Ensure robust project planning, milestone identification, risk and issue management, and robust testing. Coordinate client needs across all TWCS capabilities and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Lead the modernization transition for clients. Articulate the modernization storyline and ensure a smooth and seamless migration from the current services to the modernized services.
  • Work through all aspects of security for both the current solution and the potential SaaS model.  Ensure a robust security model that service the needs of conservative and highly regulated Financial Services clients. 
  • Utilize SaaS industry best practices to evolve the model for supporting existing client(s). Define architecture enhancements and patterns to influence modernization efforts and new capability development to cater to potential future SaaS opportunities.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to explore additional opportunities to monetize TWCS intellectual property through SaaS or innovative models.  Review market opportunity, potential pricing, and anticipated costs to identify potential market opportunities.

Qualifications & Required Experience:


  • 15+ years in hands-on technology leadership roles.
  • Experience managing technical client relationships.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in financial services, fintech, and/or trade and logistics is a plus.
  • Experience leading a SaaS solution is highly preferred.
  • History of delivering large complex systems in a distributed environment using modern delivery techniques.
  • Strong technology background including architecture, cyber-security, development practices, and technology project delivery.
  • Experience with agile delivery, modern development practices (Dev/Ops, Dora, Microservices, and API’s), and Cloud Technology
