Job Summary


The total rewards director in USI is responsible for locally executing the global total rewards strategy, managing the USI total rewards team and ensuring market competitive compensation and benefits. They collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain compliant and competitive reward programs and oversee the communication strategy and vendor accountability.


Job Responsibilities: Key responsibilities for the role


  • Total Rewards Director is responsible for executing the global total rewards strategy locally within USI in partnership with the Global Wellbeing & Rewards Leader
  • Primary point of contact and influence for total rewards in USI
  • Member of the Global Wellbeing & Rewards leadership team
  • Mentors, guides and manages the USI total rewards team of 1-2 people
  • Partners with global compensation director to ensure appropriate market survey participation
  • Ensures employee benefits are market competitive and aligned with the global total rewards strategy
  • Proactively benchmarks compensation and benefits internally and in the external market
  • Recommends changes to pay structures to ensure market competitiveness and pay fairness
  • Responsible for total rewards communication strategy in USI
  • Responsible for ensuring third party vendor accountability
  • Serves in a consultative capacity and meets proactively with senior leaders to enable business outcomes within total rewards
  • Ensures team executes appropriate collaboration and planning with Talent Technology and Talent Operations for scalable processes
  • Aligns key stakeholders to drive change and adoption
  • Maintains close relationship with legal and compliance teams to ensure compliant rewards programs and accurate policies
  • Procures and maintains professional network for valuable market intel
  • Maintains close relationship with finance to ensure informed forecasting and budget process
