The Incoming Inspection Operator is responsible for inspecting and verifying the quality of incoming materials and components used in the bogies. This role ensures that all received parts meet the required specifications, standards, and quality guidelines before they are approved for production use.
Incoming Material Inspection: Conduct detailed inspections of incoming materials, raw materials, and fabricated components based on technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards, Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances, Identify any defects, deviations, or non-conformities in the received materials.
Quality Assurance & Documentation: Maintain detailed inspection records and reports for incoming materials, Ensure compliance with the required industry standards, company policies, and customer specifications, Work closely with suppliers to address any quality issues.
Non-Conformance Handling: Identify and segregate non-conforming materials and report findings to the Quality Supervisor/Engineer, Assist in conducting root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation.
Coordination & Communication: Collaborate with the warehouse, and production teams to ensure smooth material flow, Provide feedback on material quality issues and suggest improvements in supplier quality.
Equipment Maintenance & Safety Compliance: Ensure proper use and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment, Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
Use your skills to move the world forward: Diploma / ITI with relevant experience in quality inspection 2+ years of experience in incoming material inspection, preferably in bogie fabrication, heavy fabrication, or automotive manufacturing.
Proficiency in using measuring instruments and quality control techniques.
Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T and material specifications.
Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP systems for quality data entry).
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
