We are looking for Testing, Commissioning, Warranty Engineer - Trainsets, EMU, MEMU and Similar


You’ll make a difference by


As a Testing and Commissioning Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful commissioning, testing, and operational readiness of high-performance rolling stock projects. Your expertise will support the commissioning of trains such as Trainsets, EMUs, MEMUs and locomotives, produced at key manufacturing facilities like Modern Coach Factory Raebareli, Integral Coach Factory Chennai, Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala, and others.


Working closely with Indian Railways, you will provide comprehensive testing support, troubleshooting expertise, and seamless coordination between multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and high-quality delivery.


The responsibilities will include:


Testing, Commissioning & Warranty:


  • Responsible for both on-site and off-site T&C & Warranty activities. Monitor progress, ensuring the timely execution of project.
  • Manage and close customer open points related to testing, commissioning, and interfaces.

Testing and Homologation:


·Execute type tests and homologation procedures to ensure trains meet regulatory and safety standards.


Customer and Service Support:


  • Provide technical support to Service Engineers, Authorized Service Providers, and customers for efficient troubleshooting and testing.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure smooth project execution.

Stakeholder Management:


  • Coordinate discussions with both internal and external stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and alignment across teams.
  • Lead meetings to define action plans and manage their execution in the field.

Data Management and Reporting:


  • Collect, analyze, and consolidate data related to commissioning, quality metrics, and overall project status.
  • Maintain detailed records of hardware/software issues and their resolution status.

Desired Skills:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, logic, and control systems.
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience in testing and commissioning services, ideally in trainsets, metro trains, or Vande Bharat projects.
  • Proven capability in troubleshooting and fault-finding for complete electrical systems and rolling stock components.
  • In-depth knowledge of rolling stock systems such as converters, TCMS (Train Control and Management Systems), braking systems, and other electrical equipment.
  • Familiarity with installation standards for rolling stock electrics and components
  • A structured and logical approach to problem-solving with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and coordinate efficiently across functions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi (other languages will be an added advantage).
  • Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and internal stakeholders.
