Job Description

Test Environment Manager


Software Requirements:


  • Experience with test environment strategies across various technology domains (e.g., automation, integration testing, performance testing).
  • Knowledge of tools and technologies used for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Familiarity with a variety of operating systems and platforms to support the testing of diverse applications.
Overall Responsibilities:
  • Test Environment Oversight:Manage the development, maintenance, and optimization of test environments to ensure they correctly emulate production systems.


  • Quality Assurance Management:Ensure that all technology solutions are rigorously tested and meet established quality and performance standards before deployment.


  • Project Management:Oversee technology testing projects through the entire lifecycle, from planning and execution to delivery.


  • Technical Support:Provide technical assistance to users regarding the test environments, including troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.


  • Problem Resolution:Lead the identification and resolution of complex issues related to testing environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors as necessary.


  • Technology Planning:Strategically plan and implement relevant technologies and tools that can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.

    • Knowledgeable about current testing tools and technologies, particularly in test automation and CI/CD practices.
Experience:
  • 7 years of overall experience in a technology role, with a minimum of 5 years specifically focused on test environment management and quality assurance.
Day-to-Day Activities:
  • Managing and optimizing test environments to simulate production systems accurately.
  • Coordinating with development and testing teams to ensure environments are ready for testing activities.
  • Participating in daily stand-ups and project meetings to discuss progress and potential blockers.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to test environments.
  • Regularly reviewing and refining test strategies, tools, and processes for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing test environments and related technology solutions.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language used in automation and testing.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with various stakeholders.
