Role Overview:
As a Test Engineer for Substation Automation Systems, you will be responsible for testing
Substation Automation Systems used across various voltage levels for both domestic and
international applications. Your role will involve multiple phases of project execution,
including understanding client requirements, analyzing project-specific documents,
preparing RTU & HMI configurations based on approved documents, conducting system
testing, and coordinating customer inspections at the factory. Additionally, you will support
the Project Management, Engineering, and Commissioning teams to ensure smooth
project execution.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in the configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of
Substation Automation products and systems.
- Client Requirement Analysis: Ability to understand and interpret client requirements to
align project outcomes.
- System Architectures: Knowledge of various architectures, including RSTP, PRP, and HSR.
- Networking: Hands-on experience in configuring and testing Ethernet switches, routers,
and firewalls.
- Communication Protocols: Experience with various communication types such as
Ethernet, Fiber Optic, Serial (RS232/RS485), and PLCC.
- Substation Automation: Proficient in Substation Automation and communication
protocols, including SNMP, SNTP, Modbus, IEC 60870-5-103, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101,
and IEC 60870-5-104.
- Technical Documentation: Ability to read and interpret panel drawings and schematics,
with a focus on verifying technical compliance for hardware and software systems.
- HMI Configuration: Hands-on experience in preparing HMI configurations, including
Single Line Diagrams (SLD), System Architecture, Bay Views, and Interlock Views.
- RTU Systems: Experience in configuring and testing RTU systems (A8000) and Device
Manager.
- System Integration: Proficiency in testing SAS systems and integrating them with various
IEDs, meters, and devices.
- Customer Engagement: Experience in managing Customer FAT (Factory Acceptance
Testing) and ensuring inspection compliance.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Team Collaboration: A team player who is agile, resilient, and sincere, with a commitment
to continuous learning and knowledge building.
- Preferred Skills: Basic knowledge of Electrical Protection Systems is an added advantage.
- Innovation: Willingness to collaborate on new solutions and technologies to drive
innovation in product oƯerings.
