Your key responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Management and operation of SMTP Backbone Infrastructure which includes
- SMTP Internet gateways
- Email Gateway anti-spam and anti-virus products
- Email distribution list manager
- Cyrus based IMAP service
- SMIME email encryption gateways
- Working with internal and external entities:
- Working with vendors and service providers to resolve software/hardware problems on SMTP Backbone Infrastructure
- Working with external organization to resolve problems with sending receiving secure emails
- Working with group IT Security, Internal Audit, Compliance and Governance teams
- Handling Problem Tickets and covering Changes
- Drive projects related to
- Process improvement
- Proactive operational and infrastructure risk mitigation
- IT Audit requirements

Your skills and experience
Experience / Requirements:
Experience of 5 to 10 years working (of which 5 years must be as L2/L3 working with SMTP email gateways and related infrastructure running on Linux/Unix platform.)
Essential Technical Skills:
- ITIL incident and Problem management
- Proven experience with SMTP protocol
- Java.
- Expert knowledge on Signing and Encryption using SMIME and PGP
- Expert knowledge on open source and commercial implementations of Sendmail
Desire
- Sentrion appliances and Mail Stream Manager policy engine
- Proofpoint anti-spam appliances
- Working knowledge of Knowledge base tools
- Creation and maintenance of Knowledge based articles
- Maintenance of support portal and support
- Domain name service, specifically ISC bind
- Proven experience with Cyrus IMAP
- Proven experience with OpenLDAP
- Totemo Trust mail
- LDAP
Good to have
- Working knowledge on PKI, TLS/SSL
- Certificate management of Certificates in general: Trust chain, Certificate Rollover, Shell model vs. Chain Model
- TLSSMIME based email encryption and familiarity with Totemo appliances
- Working knowledge on OpenSSL tool kit for Unix/Linux
- Proven experience with Unix/Linux Operating Systems (SuSE Linux, RedHat and/or CentOS )
- Proven experience with Unix TCP/IP networking
- Mailman open source list manager
- Proven experience with Unix scripting languages (Perl, shell, Python)
- Good experience of PostgreSQL
- Good experience and knowledge of Apache web server
- Practical experience and exposure with ‘People Management’ responsibilities
- Experience with Outlook, MS Exchange 2007 or newer
- Certification:- ITIL ( Basics )
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of IT applications, network infrastructure technology and the application of security components and corresponding interfaces

Professional and Personal Qualifications:
- Degree or higher in relevant discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering).
- Previous experience on working in Email service environment on Unix System platforms.
- Certifications: in SMTP/Unix/Linux system administration.
