Our client, a leading bank in the UAE, is looking for a Technology Engineer - Digital Branches to drive innovation and implement cutting-edge digital banking solutions. This role will play a key part in transforming branch infrastructure, enhancing customer experience, and managing advanced banking technologies.
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of experience in setting up branch IT infrastructure
- 3+ years in a banking operational environment or equivalent
- 4+ years of expertise in ITIL Service Management processes (Change & Release Management)
About the RoleIn today’s digital era, banking is evolving rapidly. Our client is investing in smart branch technology to improve customer engagement and operational efficiency. The Technology Engineer - Digital Branches will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing digital branch solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesBranch Technology Implementation & Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute branch/office setups and renovations
- Install, configure, operate, and maintain audio/visual (AV) systems and IT infrastructure
- Manage and optimize branch solutions, building management systems, and network servers
- Research, evaluate, and deploy emerging technologies to enhance customer engagement
IT Infrastructure & System Administration
- Manage Windows/Linux servers, network infrastructure (LAN/WAN), and databases
- Ensure system reliability, security, and efficiency across digital branches
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Python and Perl
- Monitor IT systems and provide proactive maintenance and troubleshooting
Project Management & Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to deliver key projects
- Ensure that technology projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business goals
- Maintain project documentation, provide regular updates, and track performance metrics
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify new opportunities for branch technology enhancements
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors
- Work with telecom providers to ensure seamless connectivity for digital branches
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and internal IT policies
Key RequirementsTechnical Expertise
- Strong background in IT Infrastructure Management
- Experience with Windows/Linux servers, network administration (LAN/WAN), and database management
- Hands-on experience with branch technology – Video Walls, Smart Projectors, HoloLens, Robotics, Kiosks, Media Players, Access Control Systems, Biometric Security
- Ability to develop automation scripts in Python, Perl, or similar languages
- Understanding of ITIL Service Management (Change & Release Management)
- Strong knowledge of audio-visual technology for digital banking branches
Project & Budget Management
- Experience in budget planning, time management, and cost analysis
- Ability to track, report, and optimize project deliverables
- Experience in vendor negotiations and contract management

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under tight deadlines
- Passion for exploring new technologies and driving digital transformation
Education & Certifications
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- PMP or Prince2 certification preferred
- ITSM/ITIL certification is an added advantage
