As the Technical writer, you will be working under the Content Creation and Content Management Sub-chapters within the Global Customer Support Knowledge & Learning Excellence (KLE) organization. You will provide content that enables customers and Roche service personnel to use, install, and maintain diagnostic instruments and software. Our deliverables are evolving from traditional technical documentation to state-of-the-art reusable content, created in a component content management system and distributed to multiple delivery channels through a content delivery platform.
Your opportunity
In this role, you will:
Write and update customer-facing and service content (User Guides, Installation Guides, Data Specifications, etc.) in English for Roche software and instruments.
Plan, develop, organize, and edit content.
Independently collect information required to produce the outputs.
Work closely with the content manager, project teams, manufacturer, and subject matter experts.
Independently create and modify multimedia content as required (e.g. photographs, screenshots, videos, 3D graphics, diagrams) using appropriate software tools, or trigger the creation and integrates them into deliverables while adhering to established guidelines.
Ensure that quality targets, timelines, and regulatory requirements are respected.
Be enthusiastic about content creation and contributes to frequent discussions aimed at the continuous improvement of our processes and guidelines.
Who you are
Attained technical degree paired with a passion for writing or a linguistic degree paired with technical-related experience.
Have proven experience as a Technical Writer or in a similar role, preferably in the software technology industry.
Proficient in content management and documentation tools such as Ixiasoft, Schema ST4, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar.
Knowledge of multimedia tools and processes used in state-of-the-art technical documentation.
Excellent spoken and written command of English (native speaker or equivalent level).
Ability to communicate in an international environment with subject matter experts from different functional areas.
Have a good understanding of network configuration and troubleshooting, API integrations, and data specifications.
Familiar with laboratory systems, environments, hardware and software development processes.
