About The role


In this Technical Lead role, you will lead and manage the engineering team responsible for building and maintaining the company's post-booking Mid Office Systems. 


Our Mid Office is where we consolidate bookings from our multiple flights and hotel suppliers. This is where booking management happens, often on behalf of our customers. Automation is a key theme for our Mid Office system – the less manual work our Customer Support agents need to do, the more satisfied our customers will be. 


Key responsibilities: 


  • Manage and coach a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. 
  • Drive the development and maintenance of our Mid Office systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance. 
  • Collaborate effectively with product management, UX, and our internal users from the Customer Support team to solve our customers’ problems. 
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams, where needed, on integrating systems.
    Our ideal candidate will: 
  • Have substantial experience in the Online Travel Agency (OTA) industry or a related travel domain. 
  • Demonstrate strong following-through and following-up skills. 
  • Possess a keen eye identifying opportunities for improvement. 
  • Value the importance of frequent, high-quality releases and short feedback loops.
  •  Focus on solving customer problems, not just fulfilling requirements. 

Qualifications: 


  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering. 
  • 3+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, with demonstrated success in managing and developing engineering teams. 
  • Strong technical expertise in modern software development practices and technologies.
