As a Tech Risk Assurance Senior Associate in Employee Platforms, you will make impactful contributions towards ensuring the firm's technology products and lines of business achieve their objectives while effectively managing risk. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and prioritize technical risk hotspots, evaluate gaps in standards and controls, and develop remediation plans. Your role will involve planning and organizing projects, as well as potentially directing the work of a team, to address complex risk scenarios and ensure compliance with technical standards and organizational policies. Leveraging your advanced analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, you will contribute to the proactive identification and evaluation of technology risk, controls development, and adherence across the Firm.
Job responsibilities
- Assess applications and technology platforms to identify risks that can disrupt and impact the business
- Liaise with Application Development teams, Site Reliability Engineers and Technology partners to ensure they understand Resiliency requirements and applications are built and designed in a resilient pattern in cloud technologies
- Collaborate with application development teams to provide guidance and ensure remediation of resiliency control compliance breaks
- Monitor application compliance to resiliency testing requirements and resiliency parameters defined by Technology and the Business
- Assess resiliency testing evidence and compliance with Recovery Time Objective
- Provide product level reporting and commentary to support Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and Audit requests
- Product-line support into the Chief Technology Office of Employee Platforms, Head of Resiliency on Firm wide and BAU governance and initiatives
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technology risk management, controls development, or a related field
- Experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
- Experience in risk management frameworks, such as NIST, ISO, or FFIEC, and their application in a technology risk context
- Experience managing application resiliency or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud
- Some detailed knowledge of resiliency processes and controls
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Practical experience with public cloud
- Familiar with Technology Resiliency testing events. (Sustained Resiliency, Disaster Recovery, Isolation)
- Preferred knowledge but can be trained in (Recovery from bare metal / “Cyber Recovery”, Chaos / Gremlin) testing.
- Strong organizational, planning and communication skills.
