Job Summary
To support new product development, new technology investigation, quality and reliability issues, and value engineering and value analysis projects through structural simulation and testing. The new hire must be proficient in structural FEA analysis -linear and nonlinear simulations and extending to dynamic and durability analysis. The candidate should also have expertise in vibration testing and data processing using legacy M&S tools for the structural qualification of parts and assemblies. The resource is expected to engage requirements of the vibration test facility, vibration-based condition monitoring and prognostics, durability analysis, data science, and artificial intelligence
Key Competencies
- Proven experience in structural FEA analysis, including both static and dynamic simulations.
- Utilize practical experience to conduct Finite Element Analysis and Applied Mechanics testing.
- Apply strong background in Strength of Materials to ensure the durability and strength of products, while also accounting for fatigue Strong background in durability analysis.
- Proficiency in vibration testing and data processing using legacy M&S tools.
- Familiarity with structural qualification processes for parts and assemblies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Key Skillsets: Ansys Workbench, Siemens Test lab /B&K Daq, Mat lab, Python, nCode/FeSafe
Responsibilities
- Perform structural Finite Element Analysis (FEA) & testing using practical experience.
- Execute vibration testing and data processing using legacy M&S tools for structural qualification.
- Conduct durability analysis to ensure the longevity and reliability of parts and assemblies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of vibration-based test facility & condition monitoring.
- Support artificial intelligence initiatives aimed at improving structural analysis and testing processes
- Possess strong communication skills to effectively convey findings and collaborate with team members.
Qualifications
- Holding a Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, with hands-on experience specifically in the field of mechanical engineering Climate products.
- Possessing at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in conducting Structural and Dynamics Simulations.
- Having experience in vibration testing using LMS or B&K data acquisition
- Experience in performing FE-Test comparisons for dynamic analysis is required.
- Experience in conducting accelerated vibration life testing for dynamic and thermal issues would be an advantage.
- Demonstrating a deep understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, with a strong knowledge base in Strength of Materials, Failure Theories, Mechanical Vibrations, and Artificial Intelligence.
- Candidates with expertise in structural health monitoring, durability analysis using data science and AI methodologies, preferably based on field data, will be given preference.
- Familiarity with fatigue calculations using tools such as nCode or FE Safe is necessary.
