Duties and Responsibilities:
As Team Leader - Engineering (Civil), you will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:
The duties and responsibilities will include:
• Supervise all civil maintenance and construction activities on the property, ensuring work is completed according to the hotel's standards and timelines.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify areas that require repairs or maintenance, including plumbing, masonry, and carpentry.
• Manage a team of civil technicians and contractors, delegating tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring high-quality work.
• Coordinate with other departments (housekeeping, operations) to minimize disruption to guest services during maintenance and repair work.
• Ensure all civil works are compliant with safety standards, local building codes, and hotel policies.
• Prepare and manage work schedules, assign tasks to team members, and monitor progress to ensure timely project completion.
• Evaluate and recommend upgrades, renovations, or refurbishments of hotel infrastructure based on wear and tear, guest feedback, and evolving operational needs.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers, ensuring that materials used meet the hotel's environmental and sustainability standards.
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly maintained and used safely.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance work, costs, and progress.
• Participate in budget planning for civil projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization
Qualifications
To execute the position of Team Leader - Engineering (Civil), You must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Preferred - Fluent in English as the language for communication;
