Team Lead - Accounting & Taxation

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Recording of fixed assets additions, deletions, transfers into accounting system.
• Create and monitor controls, procedures, for the recoding of fixed assets.
• Recommend to management any discrepancies related to fixed assets.
• Track the project costs, and close/ capitalise once the related projects have been completed.
• Calculate depreciation for all fixed assets.
• Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets.
• Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets.
• Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets, assist the auditors in their inquiries.
• Review/ Scrutiny of Foreign Travel claims & domestic claims of employees through travel module.
• Review of accounting entries for claims and travels, review of schedules
• Accounting the expenses and ensuring the claims are settled as per company policy and timely reimbursed to the employees
• Co-ordinating with Project Managers for travel recovery from customer or inter-company
• AP voucher booking for subsidiaries and vendor payment list to treasury team
• Accruals, prepaid entries for subsidiaries
• Balance Sheet revaluation for subsidiaries
• P&L and BS Review on monthly and quarterly basis for subsidiaries, travel, depreciation and fixed assets
• Preparing variances for BS and P&L on quarterly basis with reasons thereon
• Preparing balance sheet schedule as per Companies Act, Income Tax Act
• Preparation of financial statements for company and subsidiary
• Preparation of intercompany transactions and balances working

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

• Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Inter CA (not pursuing final exam) with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
• Graduate with relevant experience of minimum 5 years.
• Good knowledge of accounting
• Working knowledge of GST and income tax
• Good communication skills.
