What is the Tax Specialist in Lexington Partners group responsible for?The Tax team at Lexington is comprised of 5 dedicated professionals in New York. The primary responsibility of the group is managing the day-to-day accounting of all Lexington management company investmentsWhat are the ongoing responsibilities of a Tax Specialist?Assisting in the review of workpapers for U.S. federal, state, and local tax returnsAssisting in the review of foreign tax reportingAssisting in the investor due diligence and onboarding processesOngoing collection, tracking and monitoring investor forms and data to be used in FATCA and CRS reportingOngoing collection, tracking and monitoring of tax reporting from underlying investments via CanoeResponding to various IRS, state, and local tax noticesCoordinating with external service providers to ensure timely completion of deliverablesCommunicating and responding to various investor tax requestsWhat ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be Successful?Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting, or business from an accredited college or university with a strong academic track recordMinimum of 4 years of relevant experience at a financial institution or big 4 accounting firmExperience in U.S. or private equity taxation is preferredFluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong proficiency with Microsoft ExcelStrong work ethic and proactive, positive attitude in a fast-paced environment with enthusiasm for expanding knowledgeTeam-oriented, energetic self-starter with ability to collaborate cross-functionally across an organization as well as part of a teamAbility to support multiple projects with tight deadlinesStrong interpersonal, problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skillsJob Level - Individual ContributorWork Shift Timings - 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST
