Tax Specialist

• The Tax team at Lexington is comprised of 5 dedicated professionals in New York.  The primary responsibility of the group is managing the day-to-day accounting of all Lexington management company investments

  
  

• Assisting in the review of workpapers for U.S. federal, state, and local tax returns

  
  

• Assisting in the review of foreign tax reporting

  
  

• Assisting in the investor due diligence and onboarding processes

  
  

• Ongoing collection, tracking and monitoring of investor forms and data to be used in FATCA and CRS reporting

  
  

• Ongoing collection, tracking and monitoring of tax reporting from underlying investments via Canoe

  
  

• Responding to various IRS, state, and local tax notices

  
  

• Coordinating with external service providers to ensure timely completion of deliverables

  
  

• Communicating and responding to various investor tax requests

  
  

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting, or business from an accredited college or university with a strong academic track record

  
  

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience at a financial institution or big 4 accounting firm

  
  

• Experience in U.S. or private equity taxation is preferred

  
  

• Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  
  

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel

  
  

• Strong work ethic and proactive, positive attitude in a fast-paced environment with enthusiasm for expanding knowledge

  
  

• Team-oriented, energetic self-starter with ability to collaborate cross-functionally across an organization as well as part of a team

  
  

• Ability to support multiple projects with tight deadlines

  
  

• Strong interpersonal, problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
