Job Description

Location - Gurugram (On Site)


We are seeking a highly motivated Tax Operations Analyst with a solid background in commerce. The ideal candidate should possess a thorough understanding of corporate actions, trade life cycles, and withholding tax processes. Proficiency in MS Office applications and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role. Understanding of US tax reporting on 871(m) and 1042 reporting requirements is a plus.


Responsibilities


  • Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of tax amounts and resolve discrepancies. Ensure timely and accurate payment of transaction taxes.


  • Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of income breakdowns to custody on income generating events. Ensure compliance with all applicable local tax laws and regulations.


  • Data Management: Maintain and update tax records, including tax breakdowns, payments, and correspondence to external parties. Ensure accuracy and completeness of data.


  • Reporting: Prepare and review tax disclosures on timely basis and documentation for internal/external stakeholders.


  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the tax operations function. Assist in the implementation of new processes and technologies to enhance efficiency.


  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Corporate Action, Settlement, Finance and local offices, to ensure alignment and accuracy in tax-related matters.
    Mandate


  • 2-5 years of experience in tax operations, tax compliance, or a related field. Experience in a financial services /Investment banking environment is a plus.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.


  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in commerce or a related field.
