Systems and Virtualization Management Development for Power Systems

Introduction
In this role, you’ll work in the IBM Storage Engineering team in Bangalore, India. You will work on IBM Fusion Data Foundation, which is a highly available storage solution used to manage persistent storage for containerized apps. You will be part of a worldwide engineering team. You will contribute to Kubernetes and container based object services and advanced workloads using these services. You will play a specific part in defining the architecture for these services and developing our offerings from inception, through upstream development, to delivery.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Work as a As a Test Specialist, on design, development and support of the Management Console for IBM Power Servers
• Expertise in server virtualization testing.
• Experience testing operating systems using Unix/Linux.
• Expertise in Jenkins job management and execution – Capable of independent testing and debugging
• Effective team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborate with other test teams and the development team to create test plans and test data, identify defects, and validate them.
• Manage test environment and code, including automated scenarios and environments.
• Collaborate with the development and system testing teams to maintain product quality, usability, and serviceability.
• Proficient in continuous delivery and testing using open-source
• Engineer is responsible for verifying product/system operations and components to ensure they satisfy design criteria.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience: 2 to 5 years.
Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Preferred- M S, M tech
Necessary Skills: Understanding the software development life cycle for the product.

Strong Programming Skills:

• Proficiency in Core Java, Java Script and Python programming. Understanding of RESTful web services.
• Proficient in developing UI automation using Cypress.
• Designing and developing software for the system management stack
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Requirements for this position include knowledge on server domain
• Analytical skills, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to operate in a team, under schedule constraint, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and presenting skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
