About the team

This team is a involves in Design, code, test, implement, maintain and support applications software that is delivered on time and within budget. Work closely with customers, business analysts and team members to understand business requirements that drive analysis and design of quality technical solutions ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies and complying with FIS architectural standards.

What you will be doing

• Provides application software development services typically in a defined project.
• Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications.
• Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications.
• Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code
• Ensures system improvements are successfully implemented.
• Communicate clearly and effectively via varying methods such as face to face, phone and email

What you bring:

• UNIX experience - AIX required and Red Hat Linux preferred (minimum 2 years)
• Java experience (minimum 2 years). Application knowledge supporting Java and work experience in Windows  
• SPLUNK and WebSphere 7.x/8.x application server administration, IBM MQ, AIX are mandatory skills.
• Tomcat experience preferred
• Webserver experience - work experience with IIS/HIS 7.x and plug-ins (JEE) - (2 years minimum)
• Windows Server experience (minimum 2 years)
• Experience troubleshooting, including network related issues and issues with multi-tier applications on distributed systems (minimum 2 years)

Added bonus if you have:

• Knowledge of FIS’ products and services
• Knowledge of financial services industry
• Knowledge of basic financial analysis principles and ratios
