Your Role and Responsibilities

• Systems administrator focusing (but not limited to) virtualization on the Power platform- including system Maintenance (HMC, System firmware, System Microcode, VIOS), Image builds, AIX administration.
• System lifecycle- bringup, maintenance, decomm
• Maintain multisite power infrastructure: HMC code levels, System Firmware, adapter microcode, VIOS
• Build and maintain OS Images for deployment in conjunction with other members of OneCloud team (automation / security)
• Respond to outages and customer issues with client LPARs
• Implement and enhance automation to reduce manual workload across infrastructure footprint

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Assist with Systems Administration duties on other platforms as appropriate
• KVM on Power / S390X / x86_64
• VMware on x86_64
• Respond to customer issues on other platforms
• Additional work as assigned

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• PowerVM (HMC / VIOS)
• AIX / Linux
• Scripting (Python / Bash / Ansible, etc) with a preference for Ansible
• Power Systems: Firmware, Microcode
