Job Description

Overview: We are seeking a skilled NMS (Network Management System) Test Engineer(5 yrs exp.) with expertise in automation testing, particularly using Python, Selenium, and Core Java. The ideal candidate will also possess a background in optics or related fields, enabling them to effectively test and validate NMS functionalities in optical networking environments.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using Python, Selenium, and Core Java to validate NMS functionalities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, QA, product management) to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Design, implement, and maintain test automation frameworks tailored to NMS applications.
  • Perform manual testing as needed and ensure the quality of software releases.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on the performance, stability, and compatibility of NMS features.
  • Troubleshoot issues, identify defects, and work closely with developers to resolve them.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to NMS and automation testing.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience as a Test Engineer or QA Engineer focused on NMS or similar networking systems.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and Core Java, with proficiency in writing automated test scripts.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium or similar automation tools for web-based applications.
  • Familiarity with optical networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., DWDM, optical transport networks) is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and agile development practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and virtualization.
  • Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or related fields are a plus.

The U.S. Department of Commerce currently requires a foreign person with a most recent citizenship or permanent residency of Sudan, Ukraine, or a country currently designated in Country Group D:1, E:1 or E:2 (Supplement No. 1 to Part 740, Title 15) to have an export control license to access our Export-Controlled Information, unless they meet certain exemptions provided under U.S. export control laws and regulations. The list of applicable countries in Country Group D:1, E:1 or E:2may be updated by the U.S. government from time to time. The current processing time for an export control license is approximately 4 to 6 months.
