The Opportunity:


Six Month work term: Jan,2025 – June,2025


How You Will Contribute:
As a QA Software Engineer you will be creating and running tests to find defects in a feature. You will review feature design documents, create a test plan, execute tests, raising any bugs you find and work with development engineers to fix that bug. Test Automation is a significant part of the role and you will automate all tests in Python to allow continual automated regression tests of images


  • Participate in review of requirements and contribute to detailed specification of features for cloud based network orchestration products
  • Define test plans and test cases, to ensure known quality prior to the release of new features
  • Execute test cases, maintain and report on product feature performance, conformance, and regression status
  • Work closely with engineers across teams to ensure quality for the features
  • Automate QA testing for the features in each release
  • Share in maintaining core test automation with the team
  • Record and track product defects
  • Recreate customer-reported defects to clarify problem definitions

The Must Haves:


  • Experience writing tests in Python, or similar dynamic languages
  • Knowledge and demonstrated usage of Linux OS (ideally Debian), containers and Kubernetes desirable
  • Any knowledge of Atlassian toolset, Jenkins, Git, Robot framework would be an advantage
  • Can demonstrate an understanding of REST based web services and cloud platforms
  • Experience with network protocols and services
  • Ability to analyze and critique software functionality
  • Can describe visible symptoms of a problem, and propose alternative ways to approach the diagnosis of the underlying issue
  • Able to articulate problems found
  • Able to work in small teams and individually
  • Inquisitive & conscientious at investigating problems
  • Collaborative

Education


Undergoing B.Tech. in  Computer Science or IT or similar.
