Purpose of the Job
This role would primarily focus on running the Sustainability data collections, calculations, and reporting operations globally, along with leading continuous improvement and innovation.
Job Description
- Lead and run the GHG data collection process
- Lead from the sustainability side: the ESG software platform – identification and onboarding process
- Work with the stations, regions, and functions to get the right data on time
- Own, manage and run the GHG accounting process, and ensure compliance with the global standards
- Run the year end sustainability reporting and associated tasks
- Manage the audit cycles – both internal and external
- Own, manage and run the sustainability reporting agencies process with the objective of improving our scores on a year-on-year basis
- Be innovative – looking for global best practices, ensure continuous improvement
- Lead a global team virtually
Job Requirements - Experience and Education
Experience:
- Work experience of 10+ years across accounting/consultancy & industry combined
- Advisory or accounting background (Big 4) preferred, ideally with experience in the logistics business
- Knowledge of GHG accounting and reporting requirements, and the relevant methodologies, e.g. GHG Protocol, ISO 14083, IFRS S1 & S2, etc.
- Self starter
- Very strong project management background and experience
- Managing a team, and large group of stakeholders in different parts of the world
- People focused, and aligned with Aramex’s values
Education:
- Finance or Engineering Degree and MBA/Mfin (preferred)
